About Finer Future Foundation
Who We Are:
The Finer Future Foundation is an organization that works to raise awareness for a multitude of systemic issues, with the main focus on homelessness in Canada. Homelessness does not only encompass a lack of shelter; rather underpinnings of food insecurity, domestic violence, poor physical or mental health, and lack of employment or income are factors that influence this tragic situation. The Finer Future Foundation works to provide the most vulnerable minorities in our community with the resources needed to survive and thrive. Generally, the winter season is the hardest time for the homeless community due to the brutal nature of our Canadian winters, which is why the Finer Future Foundation is working tirelessly to supply winter jackets and resources to homeless shelters nearby.
Our Goals:
As mentioned previously, since the winter is approaching, the Finer Future Foundation is directing all of its efforts toward gathering winter supplies for vulnerable communities. Just recently, we worked alongside the Red Door Family Shelter and YMCA Shelter to donate a substantial amount of winter apparel, food and hygiene products. This foundation was born out of a desire to help the less fortunate, and our main goal is to make a difference in the lives of those who don’t have access to basic human necessities, one donation at a time.
Our Values:
At the Finer Future Foundation, we strive to embody characteristics of honesty, integrity, compassion, and empathy. Impacting the lives of homeless communities stretches so much further than donations. Our foundation hopes to actually interact with the homeless community in Toronto, and empathetically listen to their stories so that a true connection can be formed. Being cognizant of our privilege is a huge part of our foundation, as it is extremely important to acknowledge how fortunate we really are.
