Vice Presidents

VP of Logistics
Marlowe Jamael
Hi! My name is Marlowe and I’m the VP of logistics for the Finer Future Foundation. I joined the Foundation because when I was in Grade 6, my class took a field trip to a youth homeless shelter. During the visit, we learned about how many kids live there yearly and how the shelter works so hard to make sure they all feel comfortable. They needed help with donations and funding so I decided I wanted to help out. When I heard about the Finer Future Foundation I knew there wasn’t a better opportunity to get involved. The logistics department focuses on planning events and organizing all the behind-the-scenes work. We brainstorm the best ways to raise money and collect donations. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering, playing sports, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

VP of Technology
Carol Rong
Hey! My name is Carol and I’m the VP of technologies at the Finer Future Foundation. I am passionate about making a positive impact on the community around me which is why I joined to help the foundation. Besides volunteering at Finer Future, I also volunteer as the lead editor at a non-profit called Power To The Youth Toronto, another organization assisting the homeless community. As the VP of technology, I am in charge of building websites (including the one you’re on right now) and working to troubleshoot any technical issues. During my rare periods of free time, you will find me on the track, working on my small business, or researching sustainable agriculture.

VP of Public Relations
Doris Xu
Hello! My name is Doris Xu and I am the VP of Public Relations at the Finer future Foundation. I joined this organisation with the goal to bring the meaningful mission of the Finer Future Foundation to more students across the GTA. As the VP of Public Relations, I challenge myself by delving into effective, intellectual conversations and bonding with diverse, multicultural students and partner organisations. I have always been interested in how social media can help us bring us discussions around topics that support different communities in our society. I was inspired by the passion of this organisation, and applied for this role with the goal of raising awareness on homelessness and bringing happiness into the lives of families in homeless shelters. An interesting fact about me is that my dream job one day is to work as a therapist for criminals and their children, providing conversations to help heal children with trauma and criminals with guilt. I have always been fascinated by the human mind and hope to study psychology and philosophy after high school. I am excited to work with a group of wonderful students at the Finer Future Organization.

VP of Marketing
Isabella Ma
Hi! My name is Isabella and I am the VP of Marketing for the Finer Future Foundation. I joined the team in hopes of bringing more awareness to the cause and effects on the homeless population. My role requires me to do exactly that, where I frequently have my share of managing our social media platforms, and getting more of our community involved. In the Finer Future team, I have the responsibility of promoting our cause to get more students engaged through our events, and continuing to grow our audience on a larger scale. It is a goal of mine to further contribute to my community by volunteering and fundraising for important causes. Personally when I get the time, I enjoy activities like taekwondo, going for a run or walk during evenings, discovering new music, reading, gaming, and spending time with family and friends.

Editor in Chief
Karishma Kaushal
Hey everyone! I’m Karishma and I am the Editor in Chief of the Finer Future Foundation! Before working for this organization, I volunteered for the COSSOT Relay for Life initiative, the United Way KFLA, and my own personal charity, the Shayam Kaushal Charitable Foundation; safe to say charity work is in my blood. The reason I applied for this position is because of the incredible impact the Finer Future Foundation is having on the homeless community in Canada. Just recently we participated in a food & clothing drive to support two of our shelter partners, and the sheer amount of materials gathered continues to blow my mind. Part of my role as the Editor in Chief is to write articles every week for the blog post section on our website. Each article encompasses a different topic stemming from the same theme: Canadian homelessness. I also am responsible for writing the messages present on our website detailing our goals and ambitions as an organization. In my free time, I love to play soccer and basketball, spend time with friends and family, listen to 80’s music, and bake!

VP of Finance
Matthew Monteleone
Hello, my name is Matthew Monteleone, and I am the Vice President of Finance for the Finer Future Foundation. My role within the organization is to help organize and keep track of finances to ensure that our goals are met, and projects run smoothly. When I applied for the role, I realized the benefits that this position could give me, as it would allow me to use the knowledge I have gained in business, to help an amazing cause. I am honoured to be a part of the team and cannot wait for what is next to come.
