Finer Future Food Drive

This week, the Finer Future Foundation hosted our first community food drive, and raised a total of $400! All of the money was used to buy a variety of donation items such as non-perishable food and personal hygiene products. This organization is a student-led non-profit that works to raise awareness for a multitude of systemic issues, with a main focus on homelessness in Canada. The Finer Future Foundation works to provide the most vulnerable minorities in our community with the resources needed to survive and thrive. With the support of our generous donors and community, we were able to fill three big boxes with donation items, sent to our first partnering shelter, Red Door Family Shelter. To add a personal touch, we decided to include motivational messages and cards as a part of our donation items, to provide support to those who need it most. Overall, this community food drive was a wonderful success! It was an incredible bonding experience for the Finer Future Team as it is the first event together, and we are looking forward to organizing more events in the future!
